Sorting, figuring, thinking and dancing

So over the last while I've been doing some sorting around the stuff that goes on in my brain and trying to figure out what God wants me to do with my life and just a lot of thinking in general. If you could lose calories/pounds with thinking I would probably be anorexic by now...anyways. Ya. Y'know if something happens to someone else and I want it to happen to me my first thought is usually, "God, why hasn't that happened to me yet?" So God has been straightening some things out with me which has been pretty cool. No I don't have everything in life figured out yet and I doubt I ever will since life keeps changing due to the unpredictableness of it. But it's getting started which is probably a good thing, cuz I have noticed of late that I've almost lost sleep from thinking too much which tends to result in worry which is bad. So ya. That's just what I've been up to in the last while. At least in the mental part....
Last night I went out to Silverton to do Old-time dancing with the Langenburg crowd and a bunch of old ladies/men. Teehee. It was so fun. It literally was old school dancing with the fox trot, waltz, barn dance, and who knows how many other dances we did. We danced for about 3 hours straight with like a 10 minute break in between. It was crazy but fun! I would actually go and do it again. Who'd'a thunked old ladies had it in them to dance for 3 hours? Some of them really got into it and some of the old men were attempting to give us younguns pointers on how you're sposed to do things. It was pretty funny. One old guy told Cam and Steph off about how they were dancing the polka. Haha. He almost sounded mad...You always had to be on your toes because that made you lighter when you moved. But man it sure killed my calve muscles. That or else I'm waaay out of shape....Dancing is definitely a social outing. My goodness. And I stepped on people's toes all the time. haha. But ya it was definitely a good time. And the old ladies were thrilled.

Always,
alissa

You have...

one new message in your email inbox."Thank you hotmail people for that lovely bit of information. As if I needed to hear it a bazillion times...! Oi. You'd think once was enough of a reminder to check your email. Noo, they have to keep telling you and telling you about the current status of your inbox. Does anybody else notice this? Or am I on the internet too much and just notice these bits of randomness? Hmmm.....Meh. I tend to ignore it anyway. Checking my email once or twice in a day is usually enough. MSN is more informative and faster anyway. and no I do NOT have facebook. wOOt. Never giving in to the craze! NEVER! ahahaha. I'll probably end up signing up for it when goes all out of style and I'll be a loner. Oh well. I'm pretty much the only one around here without facebook so I might as well go a few more years without it. What the heck. I'm not anti-facebook at all....*shifty eye look* *end sarcasm...* Seriously though, we have sooo many facebook conversations and they are all usually formatted in the same way....
Me: I don't like facebook
Other people: What? It's so addictive it's crazy! You find sooo many people on there that you don't usually talk to and it's sooo casual.
Me: I would just waste more time on the Internet than usual and would never get anything done ever. Therefore better to just stay off of facebook.
Other People: You're missin out.
Me:Not a chance

Yup my overall view of facebook summed up in like a couple sentences. I'll stick to blogging and MSN and emails and letters thank you very much.
