Ever wonder what heaven will sound like? Sure we hear a fantastic piece of music and think that is what it will sound like. And then there are songs like "I can only imagine" by MercyMe, while it is an amazing song, may or may not actually be what heaven is like. I mean if you think about it, there will be people from every tribe and nation there and well there are a lot of different "tribes and nations" in the world ranging from the syncopated rhythms of jazz music in the southern States to African music and Oriental music and then you have Oriental styles and various European traditions and South American and Australian. There's so many different types of music out there that it would seem like a crazy mumbo jumbo of styles that the clash would be horrible if put together in one place at the same time. I mean it would be pretty hard to imagine God being like, "Ok guys Monday morning at 9am is the Aussies turn to worship and promptly at 10am it is the Kenyans turn and then I feel like putting in some Argentinean worship." I can't imagine God doing that. (Though it is kinda funny to imagine if it were like that...). I think that regardless of how many different styles of music that will be in heaven, it will be amazing to God because it will be worshiping Him and it won't matter if you sing off key or whatever. Then again, should that not be like how it is on earth? I know for me sometimes I can get so irritated if the person beside me is singing off key because I've been tuned to sing on key,or caught up in how the band sounds or whatever, but really it shouldn't matter; what matters is that God is being praised and worshiped for being who he is and what he has done in that person's life. Just something I've been thinking about though I think I will ever be able to fully curb the sound critic inside me since I still want things to sound good, I can always work on it. And now in lieu of some friends going to Africa for the summer I found this song on YouTube with a bit of an African feel to it. Enjoy. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I69a1_pwDU4&feature=related
