Sorting, figuring, thinking and dancing
So over the last while I've been doing some sorting around the stuff that goes on in my brain and trying to figure out what God wants me to do with my life and just a lot of thinking in general. If you could lose calories/pounds with thinking I would probably be anorexic by now...anyways. Ya. Y'know if something happens to someone else and I want it to happen to me my first thought is usually, "God, why hasn't that happened to me yet?" So God has been straightening some things out with me which has been pretty cool. No I don't have everything in life figured out yet and I doubt I ever will since life keeps changing due to the unpredictableness of it. But it's getting started which is probably a good thing, cuz I have noticed of late that I've almost lost sleep from thinking too much which tends to result in worry which is bad. So ya. That's just what I've been up to in the last while. At least in the mental part....
Last night I went out to Silverton to do Old-time dancing with the Langenburg crowd and a bunch of old ladies/men. Teehee. It was so fun. It literally was old school dancing with the fox trot, waltz, barn dance, and who knows how many other dances we did. We danced for about 3 hours straight with like a 10 minute break in between. It was crazy but fun! I would actually go and do it again. Who'd'a thunked old ladies had it in them to dance for 3 hours? Some of them really got into it and some of the old men were attempting to give us younguns pointers on how you're sposed to do things. It was pretty funny. One old guy told Cam and Steph off about how they were dancing the polka. Haha. He almost sounded mad...You always had to be on your toes because that made you lighter when you moved. But man it sure killed my calve muscles. That or else I'm waaay out of shape....Dancing is definitely a social outing. My goodness. And I stepped on people's toes all the time. haha. But ya it was definitely a good time. And the old ladies were thrilled.
Always,
alissa
