Leaving on a Jet Plane...

I get to go home this weekend! So excited. It also happens to be my niece's birthday...should be fun. Though I'm having a hard time coming up with a gift idea...ah well at that age it shouldn't be too hard...? Or not...My roommate ditched me for the week to go on vacation. So it's been an empty house :( I'm not a fan of coming home to an empty house. I would probably get used to it but would probably not spend that much time in it if at all possible. Silly transit forces me to get home at a relatively decent hour regardless of whether or not I work the next day. Oh well. I am grateful the transit system allows me to get to just about everywhere I need to go; it just takes a bit more time and planning. Anyway. So ya. Oh and one of my other roommates is coming back from being gone all summer. So I'm not alone next week. Yay! So ya. That's about all the exciting stuffs that's been happening around here. Oh and I get to be done work in about a week or so. Just in time to start school and another job. Fun times.

Changes part 1...

Our house kinda looks like my school's residence in the last couple days when everyone is packing up and leaving for the summer. We're actually just moving things around to make the appropriate changes for the fall when our other 2 roommates get here. Then instead of having 4 people's stuff to move around it will only be 2 people stuff to move...much simpler and much less disorganization and general messiness. It's going slowly...though I'm only moving across the hall it feels like I have a ton of crap...maybe that's just cuz I tend to spread my stuff out instead of having it all nice and neat and organized...oops. Ah well. At least my new room can maybe start out relatively tidy and with less clutter. That's a nice thought. And at least it's only across the hall and not across town or something. Fun times...

On a different note...I had a nostalgic moment and began listening to the Donut Man earlier this evening. Also Lecrae is good "get you going" kind of music. And I have an idea for something that I wanted to listen to but it's on the tip of brain and I don't know what it is...kinda like having something to say and it's on the tip of your tongue or more like you're trying to remember a word to describe something and the word just isn't coming....ya that feeling...

Same Ole

Well nothing too exciting has been happening lately. Mostly the same ole...work and more work...fun times. I still like my job but sometimes I think a change of scenery would be nice. You know you work too much when ice cream starts to go all the way up and down your arms and you don't really care... All in good time. I get to go home at the end of the month for my niece's birthday. Fun! She turns one. I got to talk to her and my sister the other day on skype and apparently she's starting to make animal sounds...so cute! And I am really looking forward to my days off this weekend, for once...I haven't had the weekend off in a while and I'm feeling the loss of going to church on Sundays and being with the larger part of my church family. The young adults are awesome people and I love hanging out with them but it's like having only part of the family at a reunion when you know it would be sweet with everyone there. So ya. I get to go floating on the Bow River tomorrow. Should be fun. And the weather is supposed to be sunny which would be really good....eh out here I believe the weather when I see it...but sometimes it's accurate...then Sunday I get to go to church in the morning and then help out at a concert in the afternoon. The band's called Esterlyn...they're on itunes if you feel inclined to check them out. They're not too bad, kinda typical CCM in sound but nonetheless they're not too bad. Should be a good time, though it is meant as an evangelical outreach type event which is great since I love connecting with people and getting to know them. So we'll see what happens and how God works. Until then happy weekend!
