Accomplishment+Satisfaction

So today I feel like I've accomplished something. It's a pretty good feeling actually. Made supper and did the dishes at the same time. Talent I know...and we even got dessert tonight, which only happens about once a month or so...And the happy part is the rice pudding turned out right and tasted good. H'ray. After supper Twi talked to Mom on 'Skype for about an hour or so, thus preventing me from practicing piano or doing my club 300. So I occupied myself with getting moved back upstairs to my own room. And did a small load of laundry and such. And did random other little things. Hmm. what else...? Oh we got pie in math today. That was fun and tasty. Our teacher had a craving for lemon meringue pie and so she made pie last night and brought lemon meringue, apple and strawberry rhubarb pie to class. It was pretty sweet. That made my day about 10 times better. We also got test marks back which is amazing considering we only wrote our test 2 days ago, and for DeGroot, having them marked this fast is pretty amazing...and I passed! So I'm pretty happy. So twas a good day in math...though I haven't yet started the homework...oops. I'll probably end up doing it tomorrow morning...ah the life of a high school student. Crazy to think that in about 2 months I will no longer be classified as a student. Some say life changes after high school. How does it change? You're still basically the same person as you were, especially if you live in a small town, so I don't know...haven't quite made it that far yet...we see things when we get there not really before. So ya. that was my day. TTFN

It didn't work...

My post from yesterday that is. So this is take 2 of the exciting life of Lissa.
My grandma was out last week and that made life interesting as my other grandma kept her busy with the other old ladies with Scrabble and what not. Then Thursday I bussed it to Saskatoon and visited with some cool people before heading to Calgary for Great Wests the next morning. Twas a good weekend though I mostly wondered what the heck I was doing there. I barely got off the bench all meet and didn't feel like I was helping my team out much at all. Then I remembered that I was mostly there to learn and learn I did. So ya. I would totally recommend trying to make it to Great Wests or any higher level of quizzing, cuz ya, you learn so much and you meet/get to know a lot of really cool people. People at home did the 30hr famine and I was sad I wasn't there but oh well. There's always next year...
Then this week our Quebec people are out. They're an interesting bunch. Teachers this week have shown no mercy in terms of schoolwork...it's all a big conspiracy I'm telling you! But oh well. And I was also sick with a cold for about 2 days so that sucked.But I'm thankfully starting to get over it, which is good. and ya. Me and mom taught mine and Tiff's twins how to play Dutch Blitz and Spoons. That makes life around here slightly more interesting. But ya. Overall it's good, it could be worse, but I hope and pray that somehow in spite of the craziness of the week these girls will see Jesus in me and my family. And there's a wedding tomorrow. H'ray! And it's Tiff's birthday today and we get a Big Birthday Bash at youth group tonight. That should be a good time. If you live near here you should come and bring like a $5 gift or something. So y'all have a gooder and watch out for deer!

Life is Good

So once again tis my once-a-month-post. Ya I know I should go on here more often...Oh well...Life has been pretty good lately. Spring break was really good. Twas good to get out of town for a bit, and got to see some quizzing people which was pretty sweet. Easter was a good weekend. I was being blown away at the awesome sacrifice God made for us. It's so incredible when it hits you. Like wow. Can you even imagine the intensity of the pain that went on for both Jesus and God? It's impossible even to begin to imagine and I can only stand and say "Thank-you for the cross."
My Grandma is out for this week. It makes life a bit more interesting...she lives in the city so if anything happens like if Tristen or Tori come over and just let themselves in she freaks a bit. It's kinda funny cuz we're just used to it.
Then this weekend I get to go to Calgary once again. This time for Great Wests. It's pretty exciting. That's been my goal for the last 3 years and ya it's exciting. And there hasn't been anybody from here who have gone to it since the time of Ashley...(which in truth hasn't been that long ago....teehee) So I basically have about half a chapter to learn before Friday. Plus review. Eek. But it will get done, so we hope.
So ya that is my life at the moment. Tis good in many ways so I'm now being paged to go for supper so adios.
